In 1405 a vast dragon appeared, with a crested head and saw like teeth.
Archers were summoned from nearby Colchester but their arrows merely bounced off the dragon's hide. However the Dragon upon being assaulted fled, never to be seen again.
Given the tales of a dragon appearing at nearby Wormingford it might seem that the dragon did not last long.
